CIPS Level 6 Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply is ideal for those currently working in higher professional roles. This is the last level of CIPS qualifications for those working towards MCIPS status. The course enables the development and implementation of procurement and supply chain strategies and plans that can have a fundamental impact on organisation performance.

Once you have successfully completed your Professional Diploma and completed 3 years’ experience in a position of responsibility you will be awarded MCIPS status. The average time to complete is from 10 to 12 months.

What are the CIPS Level 6 entry requirements?

Successful completion of CIPS Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply.

How is CIPS Level 6 assessed?

Your exams will be computer-based examinations and will be taken at either a CIPS online regional examination centre or by a remote exam at a location of your choice. The 6 credit modules are assessed via a 1.5 hour Objective Response exam and the 12 credit modules are assessed via 3 hour Constructed Response (written) exams.

  • A constructed response (CR) requires you to create an essay or case study.

  • An objective response (OR) is a multiple choice format.

Who is CIPS Level 6 aimed at?

Aimed at students who have obtained the CIPS Level 5 Advanced Diploma qualification and wish to progress. On completion of the CIPS Level 6 Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply students can then apply for MCIPS status

Complete the online registration form HERE. Once completed you will receive an invoice for your course followed by an induction date and your online resources. During induction you will receive all dates and course information ready to start your CIPS journey.

Most students complete the Level 6 Professional Diploma over an academic year in line with our timetabled classes and the CIPS examination series. However, as the course is modular there is no specific time to complete the course, but the required 60 credits must be achieved before progressing. Our Distance Learning students can receive tutor support for 18 months.
